The weather gods were smiling on the Danforth last Wednesday (Canada Day) when the first Jazz In The Park premiered under a sunny sky. It was an amazing feat: pulling off a local jazz event during a municipal strike and under the threat of rain. But the neighbourhood sure loved it. Danforth Easters turned up in droves to eat some snacks from Three's Company and listen to some Autorickshaw. Kids and dogs frolicked while Maria Minna passed out flags in honour of our country's birthday. There couldn't have been a better event! (big thanks to the Danforth Mosaic BIA)

Tonight is part two in the Jazz in the Park series and features Terra Hazelton Quartet, a well-known local jazz group. Let's hope the weather holds out!!
